Auto Plugs and Wires

The primary components that are changed out when performing tune-ups for Orange customers are the replacement of spark plugs and spark plug wires.  Most manufacturers recommend changing from 30,000 to 50,000 miles.  Newer iridium spark plugs can last from 60,000 to 100,000 miles.  They're more expensive (from $8 to $15) but are worth it.  Plug wires should also be changed at the same time.  Keeping your engine running properly will help to ensure good fuel economy and performance.

Filters

Another part of tune-ups for Orange, CA customers is filter changes.  Your car's fuel filter and air filter ensure that clean air and fuel are moved through your engine without restriction.  When you filters get clogged with excess dirt, they impede the engine's ability to function properly.  Changing the filters is an easy service function that is a part of all standard tune-ups.  We'll also look at your distributor cap and distributor rotor if your car has one and check your PCV valve and oxygen sensor.

We'll finish it off by going over your fluid levels and conducting a check on your brake system, suspension components, and overall function of your car's other basic systems.
